Andrew Jenks is an award-winning filmmaker, TV producer, and author who explores people’s stories which are oftentimes overlooked or misunderstood.

At age 19, Jenks moved into an assisted living facility to capture the true essence of this often forgotten community. What started as a simple, low-budget documentary turned into an international hit, ANDREW JENKS, ROOM 335. At 21-years-old, ESPN Films financed THE ZEN OF BOBBY V., which tracked Bobby Valentine--an American baseball coach who had become a national icon in Japan. The film premiered at the 2008 TriBeca Film Festival. In 2010, Jenks created MTV's WORLD OF JENKS. Jenks was also the face of MTV News' coverage of the 2012 Presidential Election. In 2013, Jenks teamed with Scholastic to publish his book “My Adventures As A Young Filmmaker.”

In 2014, Jenks directed ESPN's 30/30 short film POSTERIZED, part of ESPN’s Emmy Award-Winning series. He also directed the Netflix feature film IT'S NOT OVER, which he shot in India, South Africa, and America, about the global HIV/AIDS crisis. In 2015, CNN Films released his award-winning short film, ALL-AMERICAN FAMILY chronicling an all-deaf high school championship football team. Jenks recently premiered his award-winning feature documentary, dream/killer. He subsequently created and executive produced the documentary series, UNLOCKING THE TRUTH, following Ryan Ferguson’s journey in investigating three wrongful conviction cases, that led to the release of Kalvin Michael Smith (wrongfully incarcerated for 20 years).

He has created and written fictional television scripts for both HBO and ABC Studios.

Jenks is the founder of the largest high school film festival in the world, The All-American High School Film Festival, an annual event is held at the AMC Movie Theaters in New York City that provides over $300K in scholarships to students from over 25 countries.
